Privacy Policy
Short version: Yonder keeps your countdowns on your own device. We do not collect, receive or sell any data about you.
What Yonder does not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, no crash-reporting service, no advertising, no tracking.
- No third-party SDKs.
- No data leaves your device through Yonder. The app has no server of its own.
What is stored on your device
Your countdowns (title, emoji, date, theme and settings) and any photos you add are stored only on your device. The app and its widget share this data through an on-device App Group container, so the widget can show your countdowns.
Photos
If you pick a photo as a background, you choose it with the system photo picker, so Yonder never gets access to your whole photo library. The photo is copied into the app, re-encoded without metadata (location and other EXIF data are removed) and stored locally. It is never uploaded and is not part of share links.
Sharing
When you share a countdown, Yonder creates a link that contains only its title, emoji, date, time and display settings. You send it yourself through the iOS share sheet to the people you choose. Yonder does not upload it anywhere and never sees who receives it. The link opens a small page on our website; the countdown details sit in the part of the address after the # sign, which your browser never sends to any server, so the website never receives them.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. There is no push server and no notification token is sent anywhere.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Yonder receives no payment details, only the confirmation from Apple that Pro is unlocked.
Backups
Depending on your iOS settings, your device backup (iCloud or computer) may include Yonder's app data, including countdowns and photos you added. That backup is managed by Apple and you control it in iOS Settings. The ready-made widget copies of your photos are excluded from backups and are rebuilt from the stored photo when needed.
Deleting your data
Delete a countdown in the app to remove it and its photo. Delete the app to remove all Yonder data from your device. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing to delete on our side.
Children
Yonder is not directed at children. It collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or process personal data about you, there is no data we can show, correct or erase on request. If you still have a question about your privacy, you are welcome to ask.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
